31.01.13 Federal grid agency announces PV figures for 2012

January 2013: Germany has achieved a new record in 2012 with more than 184,200 PV systems and thus more than 7,600 MW (= 7.6 GW) newly installed.

More than 50% of PV systems have a capacity of up to 10 kWp; approximately 90% of all systems are in the segment of up to 40 kWp. The private rooftop PV sector therefore commits a substantial contribution to the development of renewable energies.
